"Ok,class. Today we are going to hear about stroke."

"Ok,class. Today we are going to hear about stroke."
Yes, I said stroke and no I'm not giving a lecture at a nursing home, either. I'm speaking to you folks out there who maybe around my age, the ripe old age of 33! Today marks 4 weeks since I suffered a stroke. Can you believe it? I don't have any health issues that anyone can find. I was just having a great Sunday Morning and getting ready to walk out the door to church when SHAZAM!!!! I had slurred speech, my hand and face drew up for a few seconds and then my arms and hands went numb. The crazy thing is that I KNEW I was having a stroke while it was happening. I don't know how, but God must have told me. Well, I don't really feel like sharing all the details. Maybe I'm too tired, because now after 4 weeks, that is one of the only problems I have. I get tired very easily. I also have a tingly head and scalp most all of the time, but that is another story in itself. I've stayed in the hospital and had numerous tests run to find the cause of a stroke in one so young as myself. :) I have slightly elevated cholesteral and that is about all that is wrong with me. So, until I found out more...I think I'll head to bed. LOL! Love to all!

Road Trips

  • Praise the Lord for the opportunities to travel and visit several churches this past year.

  • Daddy is the BEST driver. He has driven countless hours and miles from Missouri to Mississippi. What a trooper:)

  • Mom is best at feeding the family. Especially, baby Lonnie. Wow, can that boy eat. I've prepared so many bottles in so many hotel kitchenettes, mini-coffee pots and even the excercise room's water . Clean water should never be taken for granted.

  • Anna Grace is the BEST seat-belt buckler for Cas. She is so faithful to make sure he is safely buckled every time we get in the van. We are so thankful for her help.

    • Olivia is the BEST entertainer for Lonnie and she also keeps the DVDs running smoothly. She has an important job.

  • Cas is BEST at, well, does throwing objects through the van at Olivia and occasionally hitting the driver count? Oh, it is all worth it when he breaks out in his sweet, lovely voice singing, "Jesus Loves Me" and "He Left it All".

  • And Lonnie, what is he BEST at? Well, he is the BEST baby at travelling we have ever had. He hardly ever cries on our trips. He has been a blessing with his sweet, smiling spirit.

  • Who knows, maybe we'll see you on one of our road trips.
  • TIME to catch up!

Wow, how TIME flies. I just changed my blog blinkies, buttons and and bobbles from all things fall to a little summer-TIME flair. No time, No Time, NO T I M E!!!!!!!!! You've heard it said before, but I've owned this phrase this summer. :) We have stayed on the road and in a different hotel every weekend of this summer. Wow! This leaves Monday to recoup and unpack, the middle of the week to catch up around here and the end of the week to re-pack and head out again. Of course, this is with Kevin working long, full-time hours during the week. I am counting my blessings, however. Our family has stayed CLOSE as we've travelled down the road in the van or as we've shared TIGHT sleeping quarters a couple nights a week. But it's all good, because GOD is GOOD ALL the TIME! You see, we have been travelling on the Lord's TIME and dime. He has a special job and place for the Hearn family in His TIME at the right TIME! Please pray for us as various ministry opportunities have been presented and as Maranatha Baptist Church in Somerset, KY. votes on my dear husband as pastor on August 1, 2010. TIME will tell!

Then there was that silly Miriam dressed up like an angel!

And what a surprise to see Pharoah's daughter
    She was quite the beauty!!!

    Turtle Soup

One day, while King Daddy and Sir Uncle Tim were fishing at the great River, they happened upon a formidable foe, a very handsome turtle. King Daddy knew that he had a little princess at his castle who had always wanted a turtle. So, Daddy the Brave and Uncle Tim the Knight, scooped up the armored guy and brought him as a gift to the fair maid, Olivia. Oh, how she loved and cared for her noble river turtle. But alas, as with the fate of most amimals who arrive at Hearn Manor, the turtle was released to the wild where he probably met up with the likes of Robin Hood or Little John!

My Children Working Hard At Their Play

    When I count my blessings,

    the greatest of my joys,

    Our parents gave us siblings,

The Story of Esther by Anna Grace Hearn

This is Anna Grace telling the story of Queen Esther. She wants to be a Kindergarten teacher when she grows up! There are a few interruptions from baby brother.. It is hard to find a quiet moment around here. But if you love Anna Grace or kids in general you will bear with our 6 min. story on Esther!

    The Big Play

Olivia's K-5 class and teacher, Mrs. Lawson, took on the huge task of having a Patch the Pirate Play for the end of the year program. Usually something a bit simpler is the traditional play, like Lil' Red Hen or something. Well, since it was so big, it required a few additional actors. After Olivia begged and pleaded with her daddy, he agreed to be "Patch". Anna Grace was thrilled to be allowed a part as Little Orphan Annie, even though it was the K-5 Play. Everything turned out great and the set created by Ms. Amanda Goins was beautiful. It was and enjoyable evening.

    Two Little Hands

I’ve two little hands to work for Jesus,

One little tongue His praise to tell,

Two little ears to hear His counsel,

One little voice a song to swell.

Lord, we come, Lord, we come,

    In our childhood’s early morning;

Lord, we come, Lord, we come,

    Come to learn of Thee.

I’ve two little feet to tread the pathway

    Up to the heav’nly courts above;

Two little eyes to read the Bible,

    Telling of Jesus’ wondrous love.

I’ve one little heart to give to Jesus,

One little soul for Him to save,

One little life for His dear service,

One little self that He must have.

    "Save my pwayin' hands!"

Olivia said before heading out to play and as we were cleaning the kitchen!
