Do You See What I See?

Do you see what I see?:

"I see the Christmas tree in Olivia's eyes,"
expresses Anna Grace.

Do you hear what I hear?:

"Does laughing

come from your laughing box?",

questions Olivia

Do you know what I know?:
"Baby Jesus!"

We are painting!!

Christmas is no time to start home remodels but that is what we are doing now. I wouldn't recommend it! Kevin is painting this old dingy bathroom up stairs. He keeps hitting his head on the low ceiling and I keep trying not to breathe the fumes. Come morning and no one hear's from us, please check if we are ok, we may have been rendered unconscience from hitting our head or self- suffocation! Hahaha. Just kidding, Mom. We decided to paint the room yellow forgetting that with the blue floor and bathtub it is not a yellow room that we have, but a strange green. Alright class, what color does yellow and blue make....? Any color is better than the mess that was in here before. So I am thankful for the hard work preparations Kevin is doing for his mother's Christmas in for Kentucky Christmas. We will miss his dad (pop-pop) so much, but we are glad he is celebrating Christmas with Jesus! So, wrapping presents, baking cookies and preparing for the Christmas Play next week will all have to wait. We are busy.
Do not disturb!!!!

It was time for all of my sisters and families to be at Mom and Dad's for Thanksgiving this year. Since The Blacks were able to come from Mississippi and we were not for sure if we would see them again for Christmas, we decided to have Christmas the day after Thanksgiving! It was a very good time. We girls woke early and went shopping for a couple hours. Dad fixed a big breakfast which was delicious after being out in the shopping craziness! Mom spent the rest of the day in the kitchen cooking and I don't know what the rest of us did. I know I tried be Kevin's partner in Rook, but my mind wasn't in the game... nothing new there and we lost, of course! Sorry, dear. Mom let the kids open a few fun gifts thoughout the day, which kept them occupied pretty well. I wasn't too cold outside, so they enjoyed playing with their new helmets on bikes and the playground that Paw- paw had set-up! We enjoyed Mom's traditional Christmas Pepperoni Bread which is always a favorite, MMM!!!good!! It was then time to open gifts which we always begin by quoting the Christmas Story from Luke 2. It is exciting when the children start quoting it along with us as they grow older. I think all of us received many wonderful and wished for gifts. The guys got suits, Hannah and I got sewing machines and Leah and Sarah, Pampered Chef pots and pans! Nice! Dad got a
gun and driver. Mom got a nice picture and small gifts. Anna Grace screamed with delight over her little loveable bear builder machine! The rest of the kid's got lots of fun toys and nice clothes. We had fun that night playing pictionary. We always hate to say goodbye, but cherish the memories we made.

Black Friday 2008

Our sister, Hannah, woke us for my 1st Black Friday, Day after Christmas shopping Trip. She and I went to Walmart first...I could not believe the people yanking and pulling "Hannah Montana" P.J.'s out of a big bin. The flat screen that we were after had sold out 2 hours before and this was 6am that we were there. After getting lost from each other for a while, we met up with my other 2 sisters at Kohls! It was much calmer there, but Hannah saw purses that were cheaper 2 weeks ago! Haha! I got some good deals when I signed up for Kohl's charge card. Kevin couldn't believe I fell for the credit card gimic!:p Dad and Mom had a wonderful breakfast prepared when we returned home around 8:30. Later that night, we heard that a Walmart employee was trampled that morning in NY. Terrible!! All in all, it was a fun experiece, but I don't know if I'm "sold" on it enough to go every year.

Getting started!

I have had this blog since May and have never posted a thing. I don't know what the deal is. Maybe I need to practice Navigating the site. I love looking at some of my friend's blogs. They are great and very informative. I think I need to settle what type of information this blog will post. I may start a couple of blogs, oh what would Kevin think of that? I think this blog spot will be about our daily happenings and maybe later I will start one with devotions and such. My life is quite a scrapbook of interests, so there could be anything in the world posted here. Well, that did it. I have typed my first blog and it turned out the way the word "blog" sounds..."bla". At least it wasn't "ba, hum bug"! Take care "Ya'll"!
