The Best Christmas Pagent Ever

The Best Christmas Pagent Ever...or at least the best our young family have ever experienced. We were excited for our Chruch's annual children's play this year, because Anna Grace and Olivia were old enough to have a part. Anna Grace absolutely loves plays, so when given the opportunity to be narrator in " A Tale of Three Trees"- she was thrilled.

Anna spoke her part loud and clear with lots of expression. We thank the Lord that our children are beginning to serve along side us in the ministry.

Well, Anna Grace wasn't the only Hearn in the play. Besides Rebecca directing and assisting the Sporings with the play, we had an little angel from our family to participate.

Olivia heard the "Tale of Three Trees" story this past summer and could tell the whole tale from start to finish. She heard it told a little differently than we practiced and let me say that bugged her to no end!

Olivia was well suited to the part of angel because of her interest in the angels in our Christmas decorations at home. She wanted to hang an angel outside our door so everyone would know that we belived in Jesus. She also wanted her hair styled just like that porcelin angel's for the play.

All the children did a great job in the play, the gospel was shared by Kevin (Pastor Hearn) and two sets of parents, to children who ride the bus, came to see thier children in the play. We trust they return or that we may win them to Christ.

Thank the Lord for the "Old Rugged Cross" which we sang about at the end of the play. Just as the three trees were used by the Lord in our story, may we be ready to work for Christ in 2009.

Black Friday 2008

Our sister, Hannah, woke us for my 1st Black Friday, Day after Christmas shopping Trip. She and I went to Walmart first...I could not believe the people yanking and pulling "Hannah Montana" P.J.'s out of a big bin. The flat screen that we were after had sold out 2 hours before and this was 6am that we were there. After getting lost from each other for a while, we met up with my other 2 sisters at Kohls! It was much calmer there, but Hannah saw purses that were cheaper 2 weeks ago! Haha! I got some good deals when I signed up for Kohl's charge card. Kevin couldn't believe I fell for the credit card gimic!:p Dad and Mom had a wonderful breakfast prepared when we returned home around 8:30. Later that night, we heard that a Walmart employee was trampled that morning in NY. Terrible!! All in all, it was a fun experiece, but I don't know if I'm "sold" on it enough to go every year.
